When playing music at high levels for a long period of time my subs just go out...I don't know if this is because it is overheating and it is a safety precaution or what but its very irritating. It goes back on after a few minutes but it may go off again by itself if I keep it loud.

Any ideas what it could be or how to fix it?

Check your amp next time it happens, it sounds like its overheating. You can see if the thermal protection light is on. You may need to provide better ventilation or... maybe bad amp?

u might not have enoguh power for it, and which case i would say get a cap....i have the same problem. as soon as it happens, turn down the volume and if it comes back on, i would get a cap.
