I'll take it for $500 :)
Seriously though, the right buyer has to come along at the right time. In 4 years I'll be looking for a built up trail rig to buy.

The funny thing is that it drives better on the road than it did stock. It has been my daily driver since day one. I think maybe people are afraid it will be less reliable in this form than it is stock.

If a truck is modded correctly it can be even more reliable than stock. For example, the front wheel bearings on the D35 are prone to wearing out quickly. W/ the dana 44 you don't have that problem. Same thing w/ the alingment. W/ the d-35 you have to align it after hard wheeling. w/ the d-44 you dont.

Oh well. Maybey my school loans will come in before I have to pay tuition and I won't sell it afterall.

OKay well it's just hard to find somebody who wants a sweet ass truck like that that actually has the $$$$.

It's like trying to unload a 5.0L Ranger, buyers for something like this are just few and far between, thats all. People are afraid of what they dont understand. People are also reluctant to pick up anything that has been "converted" because they dont know what they are getting into, thats all...

When you did the D44 swap, you knew this right? There is no going back once you do this stuff, lots of times you get stuck with it, I plan to keep my BII forever, there is no way anybody could try and repair it since it has parts on it from 86-98, I wouldnt wish that on anybody!!!

So be patient, it will sell, it's just a matter of finding your niche in the market.

HAve you though about advertising iton the billboards in the local 4x4 shops?????

Yeah...but it's not a jeep so people just pass it by. There are three 94 B4000s in the paper today for 6-7k. So I feel like I am giving my mods away.

Hey fortune, do you have a d-35 laying around? I think I am gonna take all my junk off and put it back to stock.

You're gonna hate me for this but, I think Brett does, contact him......

How much for the D44 with everything? Maybe I'll sell mylift and trade you some $$$ and my D35 for it!!!!!

If I take the axles off it will be to switch them over to this Navajo I got for a steal.

I need an engine crossmember if ya got it.

the welded x member? Ouch! What happend to yours? (hehehehe)

You still want to drop a 4.0 in your 83 BII? Brett wanted you to sell that BII to him I think....

Navajo's are cool!!!!!!!!

If you guys can help me out w/ selling the truck or getting some of the parts I need I will just give it to him

Hehe...I took the sawsall to the Navajo last night. Nothing on top but the windshield frame. I am gonna weld up a cage this weekend.

As far as the x-member goes I had to trim it a "little to get the clearance for the High Pinion dana 44. If I return it to stock I need to "graft" a new one in there.

I also need the limited slip parts out of the ranger 8.8(spring, sidegears, thrust washers)

Or maybe a whole ranger axle

why don't you use the dana 35 from the navajo? I've got the most of the pieces for the dana 35 and if you want to hack out a x member, then I got one...

If you are around this weekend, let's get together.

I am not quite ready to give up on selling it yet. Plus I need a truck to get around in.

I think most people that want an off road rig would rather build it them selves. That way they know what has been done and how everything works. I'm sure when the time comes for me to sell my street X it wont be easy.

HIX, A lot of things sell in this forum, but actual vehicles don't seem to be one of them. I think it's hard to sell a truck on a national, or actually, global board! I would guess most people like to buy locally when it comes to vehicles.
I've thought all along you should just swap out everything from the truck to the Nav, and back.

  :)
heheh....everyone is just jealous of my dashing good looks.

Alright, I guess I will just move it all over to the Navajo. It won't change the selling price much, plus I would just end up tearing the Navajo apart in a few months any way.

Things I need to have to make the swap...hmmm..

A ranger 8.8 or weld the spring perches on top of the Navs 8.8

tranny x member

engine x member

And I think i am gonna drop the stock radius arms for some of the Duff Long link w/ hiem joints.

shouldn't you be able to just swap the 8.8's?

Yep, you're a jackass! LOL!

You just have to wait until someone who understands and appreciates the mods comes along. I think the price is too cheap!

I was just wondering if you were still interested in getting your rig back to stock. I have a 91 ranger 4x4 with the d35 ttb. I would be more than willing to throw some cash at you and my stuff if you wanted. drop me an e-mail at scndlst-c-k-r@umail.ucsb.edu or leave a post. thanks.

Well, now 50% think you're a jackass :D I wish I could help you sell it, but like it's been said, the market for people that want a real good off-roader is slim...Try sellin it down here in Texas, I bet some high schooler would want it to look cool in...

I am gonna start moving everything over first part of September. I won't be putting the d44 under the navajo till oct.
