I went to get some rims yesterday and found a nice set. I saw that they would fit a 94+ mustang but not a X, I was like well this book is wrong. I told the guy that I wanted them and he said they wouldn't fit. So after arguing with this guy for over a half hour I gave up. Any one know if these would have fit?

What year explorer for you have? Is it AWD, 2WD, 4WD??

that will make a difference if they will fit or not.

Just about any rim for a mustang will fit a 2WD/AWD

I have cobra Rs on my AWD and I also use my 01 Cobra wheels/tires from time to time.

Some of the early model Mustangs have a 4-lug pattern, is it possible that these rims are 4-lug?

I have a 95 with 4 wheel drive. they were not 4 lugs I think mustangs switched over to 5 lugs in like 91.

I am not sure about the 4wd hub on a 95+ explorer. We have one sitting out in the garage but i personally have never taken the rims off it to look at the hubs... thats my dads car. There might be a clearence problem though with the hub fitting the center of the rim you where looking at.............any factory(most aftermarket) 94+ mustang rim will fit AWD/2WD not sure like I said about the hubs though......


what rims were you looking to get.... i have 95 cobra Rs and 01 cobra rims if you wanted to try one on the front of your truck to see if the hub interfers....

they were these 17" chrome rims I found at sears for like $500. seemed to me like a good deal. I think im just gonna go get some dubs. thanks for the offer though.

they should fit.... the problem most have with clearance issues about the hubs, is that on a 4x4 from 91-94 they have a huge hub and wont clear centercaps..... but the 95 shouldnt be a problem at all..... my moms 96 uses the same centercaps and rims and is 4x4 whereas my 94 uses the same rims, but flat centercaps and some centercaps with a big hole in them for the hub to clear....
