I want just a yes or no, none of the "if you do this" stuff. O.K. that said, I have a 3" body lift with 15" rims, currently 31x10.50's. I need new tires, will 33's fit? I searched and could really find a definitive answer. Thanks.

with just 3" BL and no TT/Shackles,

if you can get them to fit, they will rub like crazy

Robb

EDIT: sorry, you are 1st gen............so they will just rub like crazy

On stock wheels, which it looks like you have from your website, a 33x10.5 or 9.5 will fit with very little if any rubbing. Possibly at full stuff and lock. I had a test fit of a 33x9.5 on a stock wheel with just 1.5" of lift and it didn't rub anything in the shop lock to lock, but stuff wasn't able to be tested. I'd say go for it.

I see the effort guys, but I don't think you're really helping :D

You can fit 33x9.5's but you will have serious rubbing on the sway bar if running stock wheels. My 31's rub my swaybar bad enough (it doesn't hurt anything).

OK, I will admit....I know little to nothing about 1st gens (as if I know anything about anything)

I don't think the lifting and tire fitting requirements are that much different between the two. From my research on 2nd gens............with 3" BL and TT/Shackles there will still need to be trimming to not rub at all with any 33s. I admit, this may not be true of a 1st gen, but I believe it may be. So with simply a BL, I don't 33s will fit nicely.

If I am wrong (and I may and prolly am), then glad to here you can do what you want to do. 33s are much nicer looking than 31s.

Good luck,

Robb

I have 33x12.50 XTerrains on 15x8 3.75 BS wheels, with about 2.25" of suspension lift on my '96. So far, I've trimmed over 2" off the back of the front fenders, 1" off the front bumper, and 1" off the top of the fenders. They still rub! Hopefully Perry's fenders will fix the problems, but they rub a lot. I'm still glad I went with 33s, but be prepared to do a lot of trimming. On stock rims with only 33x10.50s you'll have less problems, but your main rub will most likely be on the swaybar and fenderwell liner.
