Just wonder which of the following do you guys consider is a better tire. The tires will primarily see highway use and if it snows in Baltimore, MD maybe some snow.

Goodyear Wrangler RT/S

BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A

I know the BFG are known for high mileage but I'm not sure on road noise. The current set I have a set of Dueler APT which I unfortunately did not take care to balance and rotate. Eventually I paid for it in bad tread wear and road noise.

I would definatly go with the BFG's. I have never had good luck with GoodYear. Plus GoodYaer thinks thier $hit don't stink beuase they are the only tire NASCAR uses and expect the consumer to pay for thier name.

Either tire should be a good choice I lean towards BFG because I am a fan of theirs, but goodyear makes very dependable tires also. The treadlife should be about the same and the BFG has a slightly more aggressive tread pattern than the RT/S. BFG are probably cheaper to, that is always a determining factor :)

BFG's are made by Michelin right? I'd go with them (since you didn't list any Michelins as choices, and I've never had problems w/any Michelins I've ever owned.)

Yep. BFG is owned by Michelin now. I am looking for a new set of tires too, but the prices on the LTX AT and the BFG AT/KO are pretty steep. Anyone have the Pirelli Scorpions?

I'm real happy with my michelins, and if BFG is owned by them, i'd say go with the bfg's

I have never owned Michelins directly but Friends have and they love them. Mostly road time I am leaning tward the m/s model myself in the future. The AT's look and sounds like from others to be better if you do happen to go off roading. There is a string going on Michelin M/S vs A/T. Tirerack and 1010tires both rate the michelins as the best. Yea you pay more, but you get a much better tire.

I have Goodyears and everyone I know, basically state that they are good for a year only. Mine really stink, and I am saving some cash to upgrade to Michelins.

BFG's yes it is owned by Michelin, the consensus is though that the BFG is the "cheaper" line if you will. The AT KO's are a great tire, very good at all aspects, a bit more on the noisy side, and wear out faster.

Well my 2cents worth is all.
