I'm gonna be lifting my explorer soon, and really have been looking forward to getting 35x12.5 Thornbirds, I was wondering if anyone out there that has them, could tell me if they are satisfied with the on and offroad qualities of this tire.

And for that matter anyone else, that wants to chime in about their tire go ahead, I'm all ears. I want to make sure I get a tire that will last decently long, and not be a pain on the street, but yet be able to hold its own off road.

Thornbirds aren't much of a tire... TSL's are a much better tire... if yer gonna be doing street driving, the TSL radials are also a good interco tire, but Thornbirds are pretty much crap

I haven't heard good things about the thornbird. I think the swamper ssr or tsl are much better choices. Hey, why not just go ahead and get Boggers. They look awesome and are top performers off road. Don't overlook the Bfg M/T or Goodyear M/T they kick ass off road and get decent tread life also.
