Does anyone know what the difference is between the 50 series delta flow and the SUV Flowmaster? Also, would 2.25 in. be the right pipe diameter for a 98 sohc?

The SUV is supposed to be a little quieter, but you can hardly tell the difference (IMHO). 2.25" is correct on size.

I have the SUV performance flowmaster on my 98 SOHC and it sounds great. I have duals with 2.25" pipe.

So do you have dual mufflers, or dual pipes after the muffler? What does it sound like at idle, floored, and on the highway?

Its one muffler that has dual inlets and dual outlets. It sounds good, good and good.

At idle it rumbles and sounds like an 8. Floored it sounds really good! On the highway it is hardly noticable. I thought it would be annoying but it wasnt.

I have the 50 Series SUV and love the sound too. Gets nicer after about a week or two.

I have a 91, can i put single in a dual out and have it look like I have dual exhaust, or will I lose power, fill me in guys......by the way...I really appreciate all the info I've gotten on this site, so many things I just never knew, man you guys are great, I'm not too sure my wife is as thrilled, as much time as I read this site, but she'll like theh finnished results....she wants to come to a run sometime.....thanks guys

I have a 89 BII with 50 series single in, duel out and even though I have a little engine, it sure helped out and I only have 2" exhaust because I needed some back pressure.

I gues cause i'd have 2 pipes coming out of the muffler it would be better to go to the 2" pipe, than leaving the stock 21/4" pipe? anyone? I'm jus trying to get some suggestions, I would like to see some chrome tips comin out the back like duals, but I don't want to lose any performance, i actually wanna gain....

I think you could stick with 2 1/4" pipes. After all, you will still have the single pipe going into the muffler. On my SOHC I have two pipes going into the muffler and 2 coming out that are both 2 1/4"...

but since I have one pipe goin in, won't I lose back pressure if I don't downsize? I'd be goin from one pipe out to two, only seems like it would let out more too fast.just a thought...

Jimmyx117,from what I have heard, you want to stick with the single out because if you get duals you will loose either torque or HP (I can't remember which). But if you have the V8 then you want duals. There is a thread somewhere on here that talks about the pipe dia. and what different sizes do for torque & HP.

can anyone find this thread? im interested in gettin duals for my v8.. unsure about pipesize

Okay, the v8 will like the duals more, but the v6 should lose no power from a single in dual out...

I wasn;t to sure about that either. BUT I was talking to someone on here last night and they recommended the coil spacers. I thought I could do that to get some extra lift, but found out I couldn't. I'm new to the whole lifting situation.....my last 4x4 was a J##p wrangler, i had fun with it but never lifted it, this on eI want to lift, it's a daily driver for now so I still want to get some good mileage, but I still wanna get down and dirty too, ya know? any suggestions? I was thinking about the whole soa, but won't that put me like 6" in the rear, not sure I want that height, but yet I do. I do some highway travelin, and I heard 94eb was all over the place as high as he is. I was thinking something like a 4" suspension, maybe some spacers or something. you guys know better than i do....I wanna wheel with it, but I still want it to be street friendly.....

the only reason i was all over the highway on our trip was because i didnt have any sway bars on.... cause i was going wheelin.... thats all.... when its normal it drives fine.
