I have a 91 Eddie Bauer 5 speed and have been having a serious problem. The car has been sitting for a couple of months due to the fact that I bought a new car. The truck smokes from the back of the engine after running for a bit, it knocks, misses at times, excessivly rough running and generally puts me in a bad mood. It did this long before it was parked so it's not due to not running.
I forgot,, lacks power too. The truck always ran like a bear until this and I dont want to part ways with it. It still looks GREAT but runs poorly. I was hoping to get some opinions on this before I attempt to tackle the problem. I've been building race engines for mustangs for a bit so I know my way around a tool box. The oil was changed every 3000, major tuneup last year, etc..
What can I do to avoid doing an engine swap that I dont have time for? Help!!!!
