at sears point raceway a while algo at wednesday night amature drags....
he was pulling really pathetic times especially for being blown and what not....
it does look damn good in person though....
(its the blue explorer by the way)

i asked him what he was running and he said his best time of the day had been a 16.4
how can you have a blower and still be in the 16's?????
he was still a second and a half away from a stock stang.....
i know alot of yuou are beating those times without a blower....

just thought i would share

i agree.... but a mid 16? A MID 16???? i mean, i ran a 15.25 with a small (60) shot of NO2 and nothing more than exhaust, cut airbox, and zip ties around the throttle cable.

well, somehow i doubt they just put the stickers on the truck since it was supposedly the test truck for their whole line of 2nd generation products. something is really wrong here, lol. James, how much fun would it be to annihilate that thing? i hate EE.

funny how three or four years ago when i first saw that truck i thought it was the coolest explorer in the world, this was long before i ever saw this site. In the beginning stages of my build-up it was my inspiration and seemed as if it were lightyears ahead of anything i could ever build. look at mine now, it makes me notice how far things have come. (although, i still wish i had the charger)

yea, to find that out, "the EE explorer X" runs 16.4's... its like finding out your favorite super-hero has a major injury- like superman in a wheelchair, aquaman drowning in the tub, the Hulk has gout, etc.

yep, its exactly like the hulk having gout.

That's pathetic... wish he'd pull next to me at a stoplight. Isn't that the roots type charger?

maybe we could find a n/a saleen to race us too james. how great is it that i can walk right away from either one of those. as for you loudpypes, i hope you don't pull up beside me at a stoplight.

Even the saleen ones were kinda wimpy... as for you, expo, I love your truck. You do alot of custom stuff that no one else does and that's what makes a car look different from the rest. I bought some of that carbon fiber vinyl that you put on the rear hatch for my laptop mount but wasn't entirely impressed with it. How does it handle the elements? rain, snow, sun, etc...

thanks for the compliments, you do the same type of stuff, but with a bigger budget so it ends up a lot better!

as for that stuff, it has been absolutely perfect so far. it looks like brand new! where did you buy it from? i've seen many different grades and manufacturers who make this stuff. i think the stuff that sport truck or whatever isn't as high of quality as mine. the stuff i have is printed on automotive grade vinyl that is rated for at least five years of exterior use! i'm sure you've seen the pics of it, i think for what your doing you should maybe buy that kit where you actually heat it to apply it (like shrink wrap sort of) i've seen it at desert rat, but no where else, so i don't know where you could get some.

Dude, Superman IS in a wheelchair!

Oh and I'll say it again: That time sux! I know I have a charger and everything, but I also have 33s and not 27s!

I know for sure that the blue EE Explorer was a "Control Track" AWD model...Think the driveline sucked up some HP??
This just proves my point that EE is/was full of $hit, and that Germans love David Hasslehoff.

My explorer is a slug, but I can roast some mo-fo's thru the canyons.....live axle and all!
