well my probloems begin to mount.

My X will periodicly studder when cruising @ say 25 or 35 mph. rpms jumpin from 1k to 1.7k in Drive.

IS much much worse in OD rpms no more that 1k.

Am i looking @ my tranny searching for proper gear ratio?

Simple as new plugs and wire? (i need them)

On my 97 I thought I had a transmission shudder. Started driving with the OD off and that cured it for a while. Didn't think about plugs because I just put new ones in 4K ago. Turned out it was my #4 plug with a coating on it. Looks like I have an intake manifold leak. I would get new plugs that you say are needed anyway. Mark the location of each plug when you take it out and compare them later for differences. This will give you an idea where the problem is located. You are probably overdue for a cleaning of the mass air sensor. Search the threads for this.
