Have a 96 exp i think the control track system is the worst 4wd system i ever have used. I dont know if its just mine, but if im in 4 low or auto mode it just pulsates like hell and just skips the wheels never giving constant pull traction. Is this just me ? Some body said you can have the ECM adjusted to smooth this out. if so has anyone ever done this ? how do you do it ? and how much does it cost? Also is there a TSB on this ?
thanks Guys help

You must have something wrong with yours. Mine pulls very smoothly, I have a difficult time noticing when the fronts are pulling or not. I don't try to spin the wheels all over the place though, I suspect doing that makes the engagement a bit harsher.

I think it has been mentioned that there is a TSB for problems in the 95-96 Control Trac. I believe the solution is for the dealer to "reflash" the GEM which controls the engagement of the 4wd system. I would point you at a thread, but I don't remember which one (actually a couple ) talked about it. Try searching for Control Trac?
