Hey all,

Got a problem but dont know how serious it is. After traveling at 70+ m.p.h. constantly for about half an hour or so, my check engine light comes on for about 30 seconds and then cycles of again. Sometimes it does it sooner than others. Sometimes it cycles on and off 4-5 times, sometimes it does it 15-20 times. Can anyone tell me if theyve had a history of this happening and what it was. It never does it with city driving even driving to another town 20min. away at 75-80. Just on long trips. Thanks for the replies.

The first thing you need to do is scan for codes/

Good luck

When a similar thing happened to me, it turned out to be a bad O2 sensor, but you should pull the trouble codes from the computer to see what the problem is. check out www.dalidesign.com for the procedure to retrieve trouble codes from your truck's computer.

there right go get the codes scaned and if not misstaken autozone does them for free now. and if autozone does not scan codes for free check into your other auto part stores because alot of them are doing that now for free. hope they can help.

Most Autoparts stores only scan OBD II cars, his X is a OBD I system.
