I would get a good cap before you kill your alt and batt..

Hey man,
I have a Lightning Audio 1 Farad Cap for sale. It will work for up to 1,000W RMS. I am asking $100.00 for it. (That includes shipping)
I can even include the 4 ga. wiring that you will need to install the cap.

normally i'd say a optima battery is a better choice for the money but thezeb.com does have a fat deal on caps right now...go for that

Upgrade your wiring from the alt to the battery.
if that doesnt work get a cap.

sorry but a cap isn't a solve all for any electrical issues. If your lights only dim a little i wouldn't worry bout it, now if they dim a whole lot, or go out , thats a problem!

mount the cap within 18" of your amp-you have to splice wires-just make sure it's within 18"-good luck

Do you still have that cap for sale?

Right now I have a HU thats 50x4 and a 500 watt amp pushing my subs. The HU goes to a volume level of 62, if I turn it up around 40 or a little more songs with constant hard bass hits make my indiglo gauges and headlights flick. The indiglo gauges fade noticeably, the headlights arent usually very noticeable unless you watch the reflection in the car infront of me. Will your cap solve this if it happens when theres constant bass hits?

Really I'm not sure how a cap works, what the ratings mean or anything like that. If someone would be kind enough to please explain.
