The other day I removed my radio bezel to paint it and found a wire that just dead-ended on the bezel where the 4WD selector would be on the V-6 models. the wire was not connected to anything and I was wondering if anyone has investigated this thing to see if connecting it to a 4WD selector would allow the AWD t-case to be controlled VIA switch (Like to turn it off or maybe even a low gear?)
If anyoen has looked into this please let me know, as curiosity has the best of me.

The transfer case has no wires or anything going to it so the wire on your radio bezel does not go to the t-case. It's 100% mechanical. It doesn't shift or anything.

Oh, ok. I wonder where those wires lead to then...usually ford does not put any extra wires in the trucks..i mean there is not even a wire to plug ina CD changer...
