What are the benifits of drilling your air box? Is it just for the sound or does it improve your engine performance??

It allows for more air flow. However, the use of a KKM or K&N filter is a better choice.

Good luck.....

It does perk things up a good bit. Adding a K&N will with out question enhance even that. It does however create a bit more under the hoon noise. I think is is a worth wile mod, if ya want a little more kick in the pants.

Just remember drill the bottom and not the top.

How many and what size holes do you drill? Sounds like a good idea.

I just opend the whole front right below where the filter ended. Only on the front where the smaller intake was. Pulled out a big ol' rectangle. Ground the edges round, sanded the edges smooth. All in all a bit over an hour worth of work and tlc.
