I moved to Tampa in 1979. I left Tampa for Texas in 1999 but still remained a Bucs fan as any true fan would do.

So 1979 to 2002 (2003) is 23 years. I wasn't even living in the United States prior to 1979, so I wasn't really a fan yet.

My uncla has had season tickets since 1976, so when we moved to Tampa, his excitement over the Bucs gettign to the playoffs was very infectious. I never looked back since, and was rewarded for my loyalty tonight.

I just spoke to my brother who is partying somewhere in Tampa, and I believe he'll be rewarded with a quick prayer to the porcelain god in a little while. Can't blame him though.

Way to go Bucs....great game. 5 picks, man oh man...I could hear Gannon choking from here :D I didn't think they would do it, but as a Broncos fan, it's good to see anyone beat the raiders :p Congrats Bucs fans!

i am a 49ers fan, and at the beginning of the game wanted the Raiders to win, to spite the Bucs for beating my team, and becuase the Raiders are the other BA team..... Well, I had a feeling TB was going to win, and after hearing that the Raiders had the best offense around, and seeing their pathetic performance at that... The Bucs deserved their victory....

Funny thing about all that though, is that they still suck. They still won't get any respect. How can you respect a team full of @ssholes? I'm not a fan of either team but at least the Raiders have some class players (except for Romo, he's a jerkoff) and they don't have a crybaby coach. I hate seeing teams like Tampa win because they don't deserve it and, IMHO, they haven't earned it.

Next years Tampa record: 10 and 6. Yes, you heard it here first.

Typical Raiders fan. Here is a quote from a story on CNN.com. Read and make your own judgement:

Police in riot gear combat rowdy fans in Oakland

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Rowdy crowds set cars on fire, pelted passing vehicles with rocks and bottles and vandalized a fast food restaurant Sunday night following the Oakland Raiders' loss in the Super Bowl on Sunday.

Police in riot gear responded with rubber bullets and tear gas, and briefly closed some stretches of city streets. At least 23 people were arrested, mostly for public intoxication, police said.

At least two cars were set on fire, and a television news van had its windows broken. One group of young men set debris on fire in the middle of a street and then posed for news photographers. Tear gas wafted through the area, and some witnesses picked up rubber bullets fired by police.

After the Raiders advanced to the Super Bowl last week, crowds set fires, broke windows and threw rocks and bottles. Oakland officials had vowed to prevent a repetition of the violence following the Super Bowl, and hundreds of extra officers were assigned to work Sunday.

The favored Raiders were routed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 48-21.

When the trouble broke out, huge squads of officers marched through the streets, and authorities closed off some areas of the city.

Some shop owners in the area of last week's violence closed at kickoff time, hoping to avoid trouble.

'Twas the night before Super Bowl, and all through the house, Chuckie was stirring, like a sleep deprived mouse. The Bucs' helmets were hung by their lockers with care, With hopes the big day, soon would be
here.

The Bucs were nestled, all snug in their beds,
While visions of Super Bowl rings danced in their heads. Gruden with his play-book and of course his cool cap Had just finished practice, with one final lap.

When out on the field there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter
Away to the stadium I flew like a flash With my SuperBowl ticket and plenty of cash.

The lights on the field, thank God for no snow,
Gave the luster of mid-day to the stadium below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But the Buccaneer players, and lots of good cheer.

With a young new coach, so lively and quick,
Chuckie they called him, most can not lick.
More rapid than Eagles his warriors they came,
And he yelled, and shouted, and called them by name;

Now Keyshawn!, now, Lynch, now Sapp and Kiffin
On, Johnson! On Brooks, On Alstott and Pittman.
To the top of our league! To the top of them all
Now score some points, score some points, score some points, ya'll.

As everyone watches the deciding coin fly
The Bucs win the toss, and the Raiders do cry.
So down to the end zone, the receivers flew
The Bucs are so quick, the Raiders haven't a clue.

Jurevicious with a touchdown, now points on the board Gramatica kicks a field goal, Ecstatic he scored. As Tupa comes in and kicks to the thirty Oakland has the ball, it's about to get dirty.

Gannon now searching for somewhere to throw
As he sees Sapp coming, he thinks, "Oh, no."
So early in the game, and flat on his back
He can not believe he's already been sacked.

Sapp's eyes - how they twinkled! His dimples how merry! His cheeks were all red, his nose like a cherry
His crazy man dance, all down and low He had his usual victory glow.

As the crowd went wild, the Bucs get the ball.
Nothing could stop them, not even a bad call.
At the end of the game, the score was 48 to 21.
They proved to everyone that they could win.

Now Super Bowl Champions, and a ring on their hand.
The Tampa Bay Bucs walk proud on this land.
But we heard them exclaim, as they ran out of sight
Good-Bye to the Raiders, it wasn't even a fight!

A first grade teacher in Oakland explains to her class that she is a Raiders fan. She asks her students to raise their hands if they, too, are Raiders fans. Everyone in the class raises their hand, except one little girl.

The teacher looks at the girl with surprise and says, "Janie, why didn't you raise your hand?"

"Because I'm not a Raiders fan," she replied. The teacher, still shocked, asked, "Well, if you are not a Raiders fan, then who are you a fan of?"

"I am a Bucs fan, and proud of it," Janie replied. The teacher could not believe her ears. "Janie, why are you a Bucs fan?"

"Because my Mom is a Bucs fan, and my dad is a Bucs fan, so I'm a Bucs fan too!"

"Well," said the teacher in an obviously annoyed tone, "that is no reason for you to be a Bucs fan. You don't have to be just like your parents all of the time. What if your Mom was a moron and your dad was a moron, what would you be then?"

"Then," Janie smiled, "we'd be Raiders fans."
