I just got a new muffler. And since then my car has been heating a lot hotter than it normally does. Would the muffler effect how hot the engine runs?

But I think it is something with the cooling system, even though I repalced hoses, thermo, and cap in the past 2 months. Its a Ravin muffler. Thanks for input. There should also be some performance issues also such as sluggish acceleration. Lou. Chew_12 01-28-2003, 11:28 PM Does everyone agree with this????? Just want to make sure. RiverRat 01-28-2003, 11:42 PM If all you did was a new muffler and you are running a lot hotter then i'd guess something not related to the muffler is causing the overheating. If your muff was plugged or restricted you'd really notice a loss of power. Check out your cooling system. |
