TPLYNCH 01-27-2003, 02:47 PM Sounds like brakes to me. Check and make sure the pads are OK and the anti-rattle clip is installed properly (should face one way, not another, but i'm not sure which way is which) Rodney 01-28-2003, 04:06 AM My brakes are still like new, but the anti-rattle clips don't seem to hold the shoes tight though. I'm going to try to replace them this week. Thanks gain, PUR PONY 01-28-2003, 03:14 PM my dad had a problem just like that on his 96.... he started hearing it around 5,000 miles and complained about it.... ford looked at it several times and could not find anything wrong. My dad made them take the truck back and order him a new one. good thing... he ended up getting the V-8 instead of the v-6 he first had... he mostly heard the clunk take off and turning into parking lots and such. vbtruk 01-28-2003, 07:21 PM hey guy's i think i have had this! i got an intermitent clicking from the front right wheel when on a full wheel lock turn's out that the CV shaft was half a turn loose the mechanic fixed it and charged me nothing. try it out and let me know. scorgnetic 02-07-2003, 04:28 PM I have this same exact problem too.
