Does synthetic oil burn a bluish smoke like regular dino oil? I've got a high milage car that is starting to smoke some but otherwise is in good shape. I was considering switching to the Walmart synthetic and see if it cuts down on the amount of smoke.

Since your car is burning oil switching to synthetic will likely cause it to burn more oil. Synthetic is thinner, and you will probably get more consumption.

I've used it for years except in deep winter. Time to start using lower cost oils if it is using it.
