Just this past winter I have started hearing my heater blend door moving. Anytime you adjust the temperature you can hear it sorta creaking along to the new position. It hasn't gotten stuck yet, but for any of you who had yours fail, is this what it did right before it went? Should I not adjust the temp at all to prolong it's life?

Yep, mine did that before it went, but that noise was intermittant for about a year. Don't bank on it for that long though.

Mine makes that noise too. I also find that if I adjust the heat control that it doesn't move at all. I have to move it a lot and back to where I want it for it to actually move.
