Here in Riverside, the sensational news story was about a young man by the name of John Bautista who claims that he learned about dismembering people while watching "The Sopranos." He allegedly killed and then cut his mothers hands and head off before dumping her body in Orange County 2 weeks ago...

The picture of this kid was on the www.press-enterprise.com page. I didn't know him, but the murder must have happened only 8 or 9 miles from where I live in Riverside. Supposedly, this kid killed his mother with a bed sheet!

Yes, instead of blaming his parents for allowing him to watch the show in the first place or getting him professional help (don't tell me he didn't show signs before that incident), they'll just blame the show because, as we all know, nobody is ever responsible for anything they do.

isn't it sad that your statement is really the way people think now? i think its sad. my dad's belt made sure i paid dearly for anything i did wrong, even if i didn't do it.

Seriously, the lack of responsibity in this country is sick. I am all for a 'childbirth certification program' where we somehow only allow parents who can prove they are capable of rasing an child to get humpy. The next thing we know Kalifornia will be banning those saturday night special ginsu knives and requiring all new knives that are sold in the state to be able to slice a minimum of 100 tomatoes without dulling, cutting the user, or otherwise failing. Next up they'll have to either surrender their evil "pre-ban" steak knives or spend six months jumping through hoops just to register their cutlery so that they may keep it without commiting a felony.:rolleyes:
