but I have been reading a lot of bashing and hateful comments directed towards other Explorers on this board lately, more so in the last few weeks than in the past 9 months I have been here. I like that we can disagree and present differences in arguments, but if you are going to attack someone else, don't do it on the board, do it in a PM or an e-mail. Just my .02

I've noticed alot of arguements!

yea i agree there is alot of flaming goin on...........
some of it is just jokin around and some of it is serious
i think the joking around is ok as long as it doesnt go to far and that the serious flamming doesnt need to be tolerated ( thats y most of them are deleted )
is u have sometin against someone or there vehical just PM them instead of postin it !!!

It starts to get old seeing the same thing, or similar things, day in and day out.

I agree....Criticism is sometimes good, but mostly bad...If it flames people away from being on here, then there is a problem....If we all bashed peoples trucks that are in pieces getting fixed or upgraded, or don't run, we would have serious flame wars ongoing...

Right now I can think of at least 3 people here currently getting the SFA swap on their truck, and people say
" Keep up the good work", because it is something that upgrades their truck....But If I posted that I was putting a Camaro front end on my X, just for the hell of it, I would get flamed like there is no tommorrow...:(

It seems that every thread I read, especially in Everything Under The Sun, there are at least two explorers that seem to go at. I didn't notice the rudeness much when I first joined, but I am noticing it more. Explorer Love y'all, Explorer Love :D

just remember- some of it is good natured ribbing between two members that may know each other through email/chat room/etc. i have done this and will try to cut down, as i never really thought that it may appear as a serious argument to those on the "outside" looking in... also, if you/I are just joking around, it would probably be a good idea to use smilies, as its hard to see facial expressions on the net. :D

I agree with what James says, but, A little flaming shouldn't hurt. Everyone should have a level of respect to one another, but for people to be crying because someone said they didn't like their truck is rediculous. Comeon people....how old are we now?? I am tired of people b**chin about someone not being nice. Everyone has a bad day, and if you come to a place with over 20k members expect to meet some that don't have the happy-go-lucky attitude.....sorry...I didn't sleep good last night.

I understand what you guys are saying and totally agree. But, I just feel that too much bashing is going on in these threads to each person's character. I will take the thread on Men Against Women Drivers as an example. morrisey0 posted his opinion that it was all set up and then put down the character of a few bored college students, so then 18 people got on and totally based the character of Robb for his opinion. It is fine with me that we argue about relative topics, but when it gets into bashing the other person's character or opinion (not sarcasm, but a little hilarious sarcasm can go a long way :)) it gets a little too much for me personally. Believe me, I am the first person to disagree and start an argument about politics or politcally un-correct views, but I would never put down the character of another person on a public message board. So, my only hope is that we can agree to disagree and keep the arguments clean in here :D .

P.S. I love smilies, we would all be much happier if smilies became a mandatory way of communicating :) :D :) :D
