Well, I am in the process of removing my runningboards. Unfortunately, due to some previous off-roading experiences, the brackets holding them on are all bent and a PITA, and this is looking like it is becoming quite a project.

I was wondering, can anyone ease my mind and just tell me for sure what size wrench I should be using to remove the bolts? I keep having this nagging feeling that I'm using the wrong size wrench, but because everything under there is so mangled up I can't tell for sure.

Thanks in advance for your help, and sorry for the dumb question

As I recall, I think there is two different sizes. But I did mine a while ago, so I don't remember too well. I think I had to cut the metal on one b/c I smashed it on a rock. Also the rock broke off another connection, so mine was not all too hard.:D

Mine was like a 13mm or something. They were cake to get off. I did it in the bookstore parking lot with no jack and no PB Blaster or Liquid Wrench. Maybe I was just lucky...

Cool, thanks. I was using a 13mm, it just didn't seem to fit perfectly. I was afraid maybe it was standard instead of metric or something like that. Alright, I'll go back at it with the 13mm.

Or maybe I should try Chris's method of nailing a rock... I bet that'd be easier :D

Man, you should ahev seen it. I don't have pics though. Got hung up on a rock and when I finally got over it, got out to check the damage. The metal was about 1/2" from percing my tire.:D

Yeah, that's why I'm taking them off. I'm about to be getting bigger tires, and I don't want the runningboards to meet the tires
