The EGR on my Mounty is seemingly impossible to remove. The top nut is cake, but I can't even feel it, let alone reach it with a wrench. Suggestions?

sorry for the typo, by "Can't feel it" I'm referring to the bottom nut.

The service manual isn't much help. Here is the description:


EGR Valve 5.0L


Removal

1. Disconnect the EGR valve vacuum connection.

2. Disconnect the EGR tube upper fitting.

3. Remove the two EGR valve bolts and the EGR valve.

Clean and inspect the mating surfaces.


Installation

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Install a new EGR valve gasket.

Of course they didn't say anything about seeing the two EGR bolts.

I think I'm going to have to take the air collector off to get to it. You ought to see the cluster that is my under-hood.

Its kind of a zen thing: Visualize the bolt, feel the bolt, remove the bolt.....:p

Maybe spraying liberally with Liquid Wrench or similar would help if you actually can locate it ;)
