Does yours seem to shift alot, like on the highway, when you say let of the gas then get back on the gas at about the same pressure, does the rpms like jump up like its down shifting..or is that just torque converter lock up?? section525 02-23-2003, 11:47 PM Well I can't really tell you because I don't have a VSS hooked up on mine. So mine pretty much won't downshift. But yours shouldn't be having excess shifts. When I had my '96 tranny in it.. I couldn't get it to drop a gear sometimes (when I really gunned it). It was weird cause when I put lower grade fuel in it.. it wouldn't downshift when I wanted it to.. but if I put in the good stuff it would perform a lot better.
