View Full Version : If you wonder how big 33's really are....
Crankcase 03-07-2003, 04:10 AM Most stockers ask that same question.."Just how big is a 33X12.50, compared to my stock tire?"
Well, I have the pics...A BFG AT KO 33X12.50 next to my Firestone ATX 235/75/15. Yeah, I said ATX... ;)
For all people wondering just how big these tires are,
the folllowing pics will help you decide..
1: The width....
Crankcase 03-07-2003, 04:13 AM 2: The width front to back...
Crankcase 03-07-2003, 04:14 AM 3: Long shot.
Crankcase 03-07-2003, 04:16 AM 4: Close up...the tire wont even fit under there:D
Crankcase 03-07-2003, 04:22 AM 5: If you can't decide on white in or out, here is the reverse of the last pic....

I wish....It belongs to my Jeeper friend. He just got them.
31 probably would be best for me though
Crankcase 03-07-2003, 04:27 AM 6: Last pic for now...Side by side with the older Goodyear Wrangler AT....
Is that yours Crankcase?
Woohooo! only 3 more to go!
:D
-wait caught that its for the jeeper friend!
Brian1 03-07-2003, 09:14 PM I have been hanging on to this pic for a while, these are 38.5 tires and my expl with a 2" lift. Figured this is a good place to put it since you have 33's next to your explorer.

IAmTodd 03-07-2003, 09:26 PM Aw come on, u guys can fit those with a little trimming. You guys give up to easy! ;)
JoshC 03-07-2003, 09:55 PM Here is a 35 up to my 97 with a TT and 31's. I'm not sure why it looks like it's been photoshoped, but it hasn't.

XplorMud22 03-11-2003, 01:31 PM You would have to trim to make a 35 fit on a 94 with a 5.5 in suspension lift right?
Limited Ex 03-11-2003, 08:09 PM Oh yeah. I have a 4" suspension and a 3" bl and every now and then my 33s rub if I have the wheel turned all the way in one direction and going up an incline. But a 6" Skyjacker should solve that :D
TwoToneX 03-11-2003, 08:09 PM Not the best pics, but here's a comparison from when my lift was put on:

MattPersman 03-15-2003, 07:37 AM makes me want to get some BIG tires :) even though the most off road mine sees is my gravel driveway :)

lol...that's true for a lot of lifted rigs i'm sure. I see them all around the house, lifted with swampers on it but it's never dirty
...to be able to fit as much rubber without lifting the truck. Anyone?:D
I hit some mud in my ditch today, all the snow is melting so it was nice and soft, was gonna park there like I do all other times of the year and ended up just making some HUGE ruts, the wifey was not thrilled!
I'll take some pics of my pretty new 35s tomorrow!:D
Chris4x4Gill2 03-16-2003, 08:59 PM Heres mine with the 33x12.5's...you can see the little ones laying around.
