OK, last week I got pulled over for my Altezza Tail lights and the Cop said that my tail lights were not legal.... So I contact the maufacture (In-Pro-Car Wear) and they told me that they dont have DOT approval and there still waiting to hear back about it.... Oh, I did get a fix-it ticket for the lights and have to put the stock tails back on.... So anyone else with them in Cali beware.... The part that realy ticked me off is that Clearlights.com wouldnt release the lights till they had DOT aproval... Sorry for my long rant and if someone mentond this already...

That does suck, They shouldn't be able to sell a product of that type without dot approval.
On the other hand, i checked out your x and it's pretty nice, but i think it looks better without them.

The packaging should and probably does say "For show or off-road use only"
That satisfies their lawyers.

No the box didn't have "For Show or Off-Road use Only"..... So there's no way they can claim that route of thats what made for....
Just incase anyone was thinking that I got a fix-it ticket for it instead of a warning because I was mouthing off to the cop or something.... No I was not rude, Infact I even had a conversation with him about the lights.....
