Hey guys,i have a chance to buy a new set of bfg long trail t/a's for $190.they are 31x10.50's should i jump on the deal or spend twice the money for bfg all terrains.
they were just put on my buddys truck before he hit a deer. they are so new they still have the blue on the letters.anybody used these kind before w/ good luck?
i mostly go wheelin on the beach but will go off-roading in the mountains maybe 6 times a year. any info or suggestion will be appreciated!i currently have 235/75-r-15 kelly safari sjr ,but have added warrior shackles and tt. so its time to upgrade!

You won't really like the longtrails when wheeling, though the price is great!

Since you do go offroading often, buck up for the allterrains even though the deal is good.

I have a set of Long Trails on my Jeep Cherokee:eek: .
They are excellent street tires; quiet, long wearing, good wet traction, good ride. They are not as good in snow as BFG A/T's, and I would expect not as good off-road. (I too, bought them because of the low pricing.)

If I had it to do over, I would save up for the BFG All Terrains.

My Mountainer has 235/75/15 Long trails on it right now. They are a decent tire, great dry handling, decent wet, but not so hot in the snow. I haven't tried sand - but I will this summer, though I'm not optimistic. I can't wait to get some $$ and ditch them for 31/10.5/15 All Terrains.

i liked the all terrains in the snow...i felt in control and got out of many heavy situations...i think 44 would do much better!!!
