i wasnt sure where to put this thread so i just stuck it here because when my installer did my stereo the first time thats when it started.......

so the probelm is this......i have the factory alarm on a 98 xlt, not the greatest i know......but when i arm the alarm, the 'theft' light that blinks on the dash stays on solid for awhile (maybe 20 secs), and then goes back to normal. nothing too crazy just wanted to know if i could fix it......ive tried just un hooking the wires on the battery so it has to relearn everything, but it doesnt work, any help?

So, what's the problem? Mine does the same. But, when it is in the light on for 20 seconds mode you can still see the theft light get a little brighter with each blink.

so its normal? i thought it wasnt like that before.....
but if it is, so be it.....
