Sorry for the delay, Welcome to another Britt,It gets abit lonely out here.
A note on LPG conversions , Great for mpg and you can get it done for cash at some places....got mine converted over a year ago and never looked back. cost for cash £1200.
MICK1836 ....You say manifold problems with backfires while running on LPG .....Remove the clip on the brake servo hose from the manifold ....I have had 2 big backfires and all its done is blow off the pipe, all it needs is a weak point to release the expanded gases.
HOWARD....Who told you that the LPG kit is multi point,Its single point straight into the throttle housing.

lpg is quite popular here more so down south. ford told me that they wouldnt honor the warrenty if i got it converted also heard some nasty storys of backfireing splitting the manifold having a weak point sounds like a good idea i got a 113 litre aux fuel tank its more practical. here if ya get out of town its pretty hard to find fuel stops

When your warranty runs out do you think you will get it converted.
Just a note : A friend had his car converted and 2 years later was involved in a smash, His insurance co wouldnt pay out because he hadnt told them he had modified the vehicle.
I phoned mine up 8 months after i had the conversion and they didnt seem bothered, just renewed my policy and its on the certificate as a modification, but at no extra cost.

no. if ya gonna do it ya have to do it at the begining to make it cost effective and ya get less miles to a tank of lpg allso its pretty hard to ask some one for a can of lpg in the middle of the dessert had a 92 ford sedan b4 on lpg but i bought it allready converted, then the price of it was 20cents a litre it was costin me about 8 bucks to fill it up only prob was findin some one to tune it .in the end i gave up looking and figured it out for my self here its about 45 cents a litre now petrol is about 90 to 1.00 au

When uk cars are converted to LPG the petrol running of the car is not affected & we can switch from LPG to petrol at the flick of a switch while driving , so if i cant find a LPG station i have 300 miles worth of petrol.
Is this the same system you get fitted ?
