I just got the ss speed grill yesterday. Its pretty sweet looking and I cant wait to get it on my X. I'm having some problems figuring out how the clips go on. any help would be appreciated

You know you have to take the whole grille assembly piece off right?

Once thats off, CAREFULLY slide the inserts in from the front (make sure to put them in right, they are different sizes top and bottom on mine). The clip will slide around the lip around the opening and on over the inserts. Alot of people gripe about them but I didnt have any trouble really. Get a small flat blade screw driver for the stubborn ones and pry them open just a tad and theyll slide right into place. Total time from leaving my room to having the truck back together and being cleaned up was 20minutes.

if they had some close up pics of how they go on im sure I would have been done sooner. Do you have any pics at all? for now I used some zip ties. I looked it up and alot of people have been usin zip ties.

I want to check out either a speed or billet grill for my sport as well.

did it come with three pieces or just the center?

The last billet grill I found for the sport looks like it only come with the center piece.

I just got one of those one piece billit grills that goes on over the original grill......
Does anyone know where I can get a latch extender so that I can get my hood open without problems?
Also...I don't know about that zip tie mounting thing, it makes me nervous to think that my grill is held on by those things.

Im pretty sure you can upgrade to a 98hood latch thats not in the way with the billet grille.
