when i went threw a puddle that was about a foot deep, my truck ran fine, but then about a half hour later when i was driving home, the light CHECK ENGINE, popped on... why would that of popped on?

Could be many things, have you opened the hood to see if it was anything obvious? Don't know if a foot of water would've done anything, but it's possible...

it sounds like its running fine, but it has some trouble starting.... it stailed when i came out of the water, but it runs fine, just a little confused as to why that lights on

i found out that i burned up my O2 censor... how long will i be able to drive before anything bad happens or doesnt it really bother the truck

I would replace the sensor ASAP, running with a faulty one can cause many other parts to fail.

How did you determine it was an O2 sensor? Which one?

i talked to one of my buddys at a car shop, and thats what he told me he thought it was. i went to autozone, and they said nothing about being able to check the codes. My truck runs fine, just that light is on. And if it is the censor, will it effect my truck just offroadin, or in general?

It requires a scanner. If you don't own one, some parts houses like AutoZone, will read the code for you.
