Finally got everything mounted properly. I used Brian's idea of using the lower instrument panel reinforcement for the switch mount and jimabena's idea of "just drill" for the LED. (j/k)

Is that switch and led for the Apten Performance chip?

Yes, they come with the Apten diablo chip. The LED is an option, it shows which program is running. Mine is green=91 octane, yellow=87, red=off. I didn't bother to take pics of the chip installed in the back of the computer and due to it's inside location on gen 1's, I used electrical tape to keep it secured and dust proofed.

How did you run the wires from the chip? Details please.

Pretty slick! Yeah, how'd you run the wires?
I have pics of the computer/chip install on my homepage listed below (and I'm sure it's elsewhere too, but for a quick/new reference...)

First of all, there is just enough room and flex with the PCM bracket that I did not have to mod it for the chip and wire to fit. The wire stays behind the kick panel (tons of room), and is routed under the carpet towards the top edge safely away from kicking feet. It stays behind it all the way until you come to the angled support tube seen in the second switch pic. It follows the tube up the rear side and once out of view it goes direct to the back of the panel reinforcement. I used electrical tape to secure the wire to the back of the tube only cause it blends in more than a tie strap but I think I might switch to tie straps anyways just for the added security. I left a bit of slackness in the wire behind the reinforcement panel. I then traced back on the wire pulling all excess and then safely tucked the excess behind the kick panel. When all is done only 1" of wire is seen when it pops out of the carpet and goes to the back of the support. The LED wire is kept behind the reinforcement panel and the dash.
EDIT: I worked up to a 1/4 drill bit for the switch and LED. ;)
