Hey,
I've been using mobil1 synthetic, but I'm looking to possibly change to a real full synthetic such as amsoil or redline. Has anyone used either or both of these oils and if so what were your experiences?

Ive used both Redline and AMSOil gear oil, but not engine oil. (Currently I'm using Mobil 1 engine oil, AMSOil in the differentials, and AMSOil ATF in the trans and t-case)

Both Redline and AMSOil are good products, but if you want to get more of the arguements for and against each, I recommend checking out this site:

The Oil Board (http://theoildrop.server101.com/cgi/ultimatebb.cgi?)

In particular, check out the Used Oil Analysis section where people post the results of UOA for various brands of oil and discuss the good and bad points.

Mobil1 is a full synthetic oil just like AMSOIL is...
