Hey guys,

For my electronic theory class I have to design and explain an ignition system (the old school design with points, condensors, coils, the whole 9...) Does anybody know any good places where I can find ignition wiring diagrams that actually have values for the inductors, capacitor, and resistors in the circuit? I've got my dad's old automotive electrical systems book and it talks about the operation, but I have to find the actual values that will work for an ignition.

i've looked at places like, howthingswork.com and stuff like that, and I'm curious if you guys can offer any ideas.

Thanks!

Anyone? I'm having difficulty finding the values for the circuit and the 2nd order differential equations are not fun to keep solving.

it is 2 newton ohms when at 12 volts constant...that is of course if it is 75 degrees outside and hailing. That is just my findings at least. ;)

try www.howstuffworks.com if my answer is wrong.
