My '94 needs the dog legs replaced as well. I went to 2 different Maaco's and both quoted me $850 to replace both sides and blend the paint. Here's a site that sells the replacement panels so you can see what the new metal would cost:

That can be a tricky area to repair........
The dog leg area is part of the quarter panel. If your damage is only in the dogleg area and not into the rest of the quater panel then it is possible to simply replace that area.
It is called sectioning, catch is you will have to buy the entire quarter panel. Best bet is aftermarket or used. if all you need is the dogleg area, fit should not be that big a problem with a/m parts. This would be the best way to do it. Of course, also the most $$$
A good sheetmetal worker can cut out the "cancer" and rebuild it with new sheetmetal. It all depends how deep the dmg goes. If the damage you are talking about is corrosion, all of it must be removed or within a couple years you will see it come back.
Most of us don't have the capability to do this kind of extensive body repair properly so I would recommend getting a number of estimates.

Any color can be matched. If the repaired area is within 12 or so inches of the adjacent panel, In order to get it right a quality painter will want to blend into your door. Maaco and Earl Schieb will have a hard time accurately matching your paint based on my experience.
Main thing is IT ONLY GETS WORSE!!!!
Try to take care of it one way or another as soon as possible. After its done, add some undercoating to protect the repair from future dmg if your live in a wet climate (rain/snow).
Good Luck!!!
