is the explorer suspension same as the ranger for the year of 97?? need a little more advice cause i'm lacking the knowledge.

No.

The '97 explorer is SLA and the '97 ranger is TTB or TIB.

98+ Rangers would have the same type of suspension as your 97 X.

thanks for your info! i'm an ex jeeper and still have the crave to get into wheeling again. my little explorer is now my wheeling chariot but it's nowhere close to what it should be. thankyou and please let me know what the biggest kit is they have for my ride that you believe to be the best quality. thanks,

There are some really good IFS kits coming out, but the higher end coilover (actually remove torshion bars) are gonna cost ya!!! :)


Then there are the lift spindle kits too, retain torshion bars.....

research is your friend :)


Or you can cut all that crap out of there and do a soild axle conversion like the rest of the world these days :)

Depends on what you want to use the truck for really......
