Ok,
this may just be me! As you all may know it took my dealership 6 weeks to fit my new tranny!
when i got the car back it had the oil cap of the engine so all the oil came out everywhere! and i ran it for 300 miles like that.

i am going on a long trip tomorrow so i thought i would check oil levels and stuff...

ok so i check my tranny fluid like this.
after driving for 15 mins leave the engine in park and check the tranny dipstick..... ok so i cant see any red fluid on there at all when i do that.

Now i did ask my dealership to check this but i guess they dont know how to do that either!

I have to get rid of this car! I dont even think you could buy the tranny fluid here they dont even know what it takes!!!!! OH MAN!!! :'(

I guess if they cant do an oil cap up! then maybe they did not remember to do the bolts up on my drive shaft either!!! maybe thats going to come up thru the drives seat on route! ahhhhh!!!!!!!!!

If your dealership is that retarded I strongly suggest you call Ford directly and report them. That is pathetic.

i just wish somone could tell me what do to... i have called places and told them i have a ford explorer and some of them said "Whats That?" NO JOKE!

I dont want to break the thing by doing it myself, so i take it to a ford dealership to fix it and they dont know either.... whats up with that!!!!!!
the problem is in the UK you may only see one explorer a week. they dont even sell them here now .

the sad thing is.... this is not the cars fault at all.. its a great car! its just no one knows anything about it! as i talked about in other posts! I dont know what to do, im going to call a dealership in the US and ask them about my tranny! then after that im going to call ford and tell them thats what i had to do!

I have called Ford in the past to compain about a dealership where the salesman sent me a threatening letter and they didn't give a crap.
"All dealers are individually owned...lada lada lada"
Ford really bites when it comes to Customer satisfaction, it is no onder the foreign companies are where they are today.

It's all seems pointless right now since you're selling your X. Aren't you?

Would be thrilled to trade you their Land Rover for it. That's too exotic for you if you are not going to work on it yourself. A friend of mine is restoring a Mini Cooper pickup and having boy panels flown in. He wishes he never started that project!

Are you sure your not pulling our leg? I mean come on, even if they have not heard of the Explorer there are other outos over their and as far as I know they all have to have either a transmision or a transaxle. They all pretty much work the same and I am sure the dealers work on those automobiles. Come on be straight with us!

The last I checked the UK made it out of the dark age.
