Okay, I did a search and didn't find anything useful. My steering wheel squeaks when it's moved. It's getting progressively worse and drives me crazy. It doesn't seem to have anything to do with the power steering-more like rubbing or dust or something within the steering column itself. It's a squeak, not a squeal. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

My dad had a Taurus that squeeked like that. His was the plastic rubbing at the back of the wheel. Used a straw and sprayed some WD-40 in the crack where wheel met the column and it stopped. You might check that.

Had the same problem and used wd40. Squeaking went away for awhile but came back when the wd40 wore down. So, I end up spraying it like twice a year and it's cool.
