About a week ago my 91 explorer began to jerk when I would accelerate from a stopped position, the gauges would jump around, my stereo would turn off for a moment, the radio stations would reset, and the check oil and rear anti-lock lights would come on. This has happend frequently when starting from a stop sign etc, and when turning corners from stop signs etc. What is this problem and where do i begin to look?

Probably the voltage regulator on your alternator; but it could be the alternator itself or cables.
