This is my first post so....

HELLO :)

I'm going to look at a 93 this coming Saturday. It has 82k miles on it and they are asking $2,500. The radio does not work and the interior is a bit shabby. It is the original owner and he said the auto tranny has never been replaced. So...

Is this a good price?

What should I look for?

What are some typical problems, issues that I should be aware of/look for?

What would be some good questions to ask the owner?

Thanks in advance for your responses

check service on the tranny, the 91-94 had problems with them... my 94 has 110k on it, never had a problem though, but some people barely got 20k out of theirs  82k is good on the engine... not too many miles at all... that price seems resonable... at least that price would be acceptable out her where i live.... welcome to the site, hopefully you woill like it and become a regular member on here...

check the bottom of the sides (rocker panels) for rust or rust forming. that's probable the most common place for rust

Thanks Jim,

Is there anyway to tell how many more miles are left on the tranny or how bad it is?
I mean aside from the obvious (slipping, leaking, noises)
Is there a way to tell if it's been serviced?

Is this a good price?

yes, if its 4x4.

What should I look for?

chenk that tranny fluid. check the rocker panels and tailgate for rust. check vin history. check for repair records/body work. if its 4x4, check operation of 4x4.

What are some typical problems, issues that I should be aware of/look for?

What would be some good questions to ask the owner?
