I just put this on last week, thought I'd be different. Its fun to hear people ask "Is that a real police interceptor?" People are gullable. Let me hear your opinions. I like it because it doesnt stick out, it blends really nice.

Nope cops dont hassle you at all. I have had mine on for a long time and when I got pulled over it prolly helped me out cause I only got a warning. Then again all the govt. credentials I have also didnt hurt:D A tow truck guy told me once that he didnt know Ford made police interceptor Explorers. I centered mine under the Ford emblem on the other side of the liftgate. I think it looks real clean, just like it belongs there.

Maybe the gullable people aren't the ones that ask if that is a police interceptor..............maybe the gullable people are the ones that put those emblems on.

I work at a Ford dealership, and we happen to have one in stock, you can buy them over the counter for less than $10. Thanks for the opinions, I really like it too. I was actually surprized at how well it looked (like from the factory), I had a guy come in to work and ask someone what the diff was between the "Police Interceptor" Explorer and the regular Explorer. I just chuckled, and told him that I had put that emblem on there.

I decided one day while talking to a friend about how fast the new 4.6L's are that i needed to be different but not stand out, very subtle.

The funny thing is, is that you don't always need the emblem. My "Social Director" always seems to "Intecept" a police officer every now and then without one in her "BUMBLE BEE" (Yellow & Black 2001 Stang):D

I saw someone had a "super duty" tag below the explorer emblem, that looked cool.

I 2 of the same Police Interceptor emblem sI got last fall, but I haven't put them on. I found them the other day ina drawer and I'm thinking about it again, it would be fun/funny to have it on there. You might be able to scare some people on the road too :eek: . But I also put a "Ford Police vehicles" sticker on my back tailgate window, it's not real easy to see since I have tinted windows. But a UNH police officer saw it when I got pulled over last fall and ask me what that was about, I said my dad's a sheriff, (which he actually is part time) and he was like, oh ok, I think it might have helped a bit....haha. But who knows, just a litte fun toy of course.

So I might stick one of those police interceptor badges under my Explorer badge on the back, I think it would looke good/blend into the black paint on my X.
