View Full Version : Which Radio and ESC?

I just bought a Team Associated B2 RC10 off eBay. I always liked the look of the older RC10's so I decided to buy one. It's a competition car so it's fast as hell. Everything's great except for the glitching. It glitches after about 10 minutes of running with the 1200 Mah battery, and right away with the 2400 Mah batteries. I've decided to buy a new radio and ESC. Right now the radio is a Futaba Magnum Sport AM Transmitter, and the ESC is a Novak T-4. I'm wondering what I should replace them with? I don't need more than 2 channels, and would prefer an FM transmitter. For the ESC, I would prefer a Novak or something equivelant. Any ideas would be great. Thanks!

If you do get new ones i would stick with those two brands they seem to be the best.

Yeah.. I decided to go with a Novak Rooster, better than my T-4 and not huge like the Super Rooster. As for the remote, I'm going with a JR Racing XR3 FM. This stuff should be a big step up from the things I have now.

Yeah, I always wanted a rooster. How does it work?

How does it work meaning.. the mechanics, or meaning the drive?

The drive. Did it make your car any faster?

I still have my T-4. I haven't gotten my Rooster yet. I'll respond when I test it. As for the remote, I found a GREAT deal on the $500 Hitec Lynx 3D, $108 ;)

personally, as far as specs go... the rooster of days old want that great... the super rooster is way better, its bigger but has more power output, capacity and is all around better than the other...... do you need reverse? what is your budget for an esc? glitching can be eliminated or severly reduced... does your esc or motor have external diodes? is the reciever away from vibration? are the receiver batteries fully charged? or new?...

Well I don't think I would have space for a Super Rooster. With my T-4 I have maybe 1/4" between that and the battery. I would definitely want reverse, and my budget is endless, keep in mind I won't be doing competitions.
