Just got back from checking into availability of Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo tires. He told me he could get the 31X10.5X15 anytime overnight. His wife asked what vehicle they were for since she saw me drive up. I told them they were for the 'ploder. They both made faces and I thought uh oh, here we go. I told them I wanted that size instead of the P235's since I was planning on lifting it 2". They both sighed in relief and said that's good I am planning on lifting it because they didn't think the tires would fit at stock height.

Gotta love small town tire stores! :D

Good tire shops rule!!

When I got my 35s, the guy behind the counter asked what they were going on (I knew the owner and knew he didn't care), and I told him an Explorer. He looked at me kinda weird for a second, then asked, "is it lifted?" I said "yea, slightly", he said, "oh, okay, cool!":D

When it was time to change my recall Firestone tires no one would change them to the bigger size tires I wanted. I even offered to pay the difference just to get them. I went to Sears, Goodyear, BFGoodrich dealerships and they would just send me away. I found this small tire store with a nice shiny display of wheel and tires and sure enough they had no problem giving me what I wanted. They even suggested going a little bigger. Heh.
