Glacier991 08-14-2003, 04:08 PM If I am understanding your question, you are wondering if there is a) ANY refrigerant in the system; and, then b) if it's "fully charged". As for a) find something to press open the schrader in the either fitting (with the engine off) and protect your EYES as you do this, glasses are fine. See if there is a hiss. If so, SOMETHING is in there. If the compressor will not run when you turn it on, odds are the charge is low. You can get an indication by jumping the low side cutout and using a gauge set on the system. If you don't have the knowledge or experience I'd be inclined to take it somewhere and let them check it. Maybe the place that "fixed it" to begin with?
