Hi All, Hope your doing fine
I was just told at the tire store they will mount 4 31 x 10.5 15" on my stock rims for $422. These are Yokogawa manufactured under another name (slips me at the moment).
That includes a used one for the spare (If it fits under the truck), roadside service & tire replacement (any road hazzard except vandalism) with drop off as tire wear goes down (it's got 10% wear, I pay 10% of a new tire, 50% wear I pay 50% of new, etc), and valve stems, balancing, and they change the tire when I break down & can't do it myself (not that budweiser has ever been a problem.... No, I do NOT drink & drive, but I may let the wife drive me home while I snooze like a baby)

They are going on my 94 sport. Am I getting shucked? Or is this a good deal?

The main reason I want to do this is to get some lift on the 3 guys ahead of me at the up-coming light. Just want to see over everyone else.

Comments?
Thanks
Walter

Sounds kinda high to me. I had 4 General Gabber ST's put 31X10.50 on my truck and paid 350 out the door. Mounting, balancing and everything. Got it done at discount tire.

i had 235 75 r15 firestone wilderness a/t on my truck when i bought it. i have since put on 31 10.5 15

i would say that i might have gotten an inch or so. it kinda depends on what tires you buy. they might say 31 inches high and 10.5 inches wide, but most aren't exactly those dimensions. i looked around the net at tire manufacturer websites and found that most posted spec pages with all that info. i wound up buying my tires at walmart. that have a pretty good road hazard plan, and warranty. i paid just under $400 all said and done. liberator a/t (made by michelin) pretty good tires so far.

i got my 4 31'' pirelli scorpions from www.tirerack.com for $397 shipped. obviously did not include mounting balancing, but thats not expensive anyway. your mechanic can do that. and these are pirelli's, the best tire i ever had.

I'd say go for it, I just put 31's on my '94' sport and that ran $507 out the door for the cheap tires.

listen, walter...

tires are an important investment. (at least they were to me)

i was ready to pull the trigger on some tires i found online. i decided not to in case i wound up damaging one. it might sound silly, but with the flack i got from my wife about spending that much money i had to be smart. anyways, i thought i might have trouble getting a replacement, might incur shipping costs, paying for mounting again and what not.

there are lots of places online to buy tires. onlinetires.com discounttires.com, etc. some deal with national chains of tire shops and work out installation with them, and you can even have the tires shipped right to the nearest shop.

all i am saying is shop around. name a final price for yourself and find the best deal.
