Im looking for a new set of tires and saw where the bridgestone dueler a/t revo was mentioned by a few people. Can yall comment on how it performs both on the street and offroad. Now i have the BFG AT kos and like them for the most part but want to try something different. Anyway i need to get new tires this week so let me know what yall think about them. Thanks Major

I have a set of 285/75R16 revos that I just put on my dodge about 4 thousand miles ago and I am pretty happy with them. good traction on the wet roads and does pretty well for an AT in the mud. They are quite on the road also. For the short amount of time I have ran them I have been pretty happy with them.

well i just ordered 4 30x9.5 for my stock truck. im gonna hold on to them until the winter, so i guess i can let you know how they are compared to the crap wrangler rts i have on now.

I had the crappy rts' on my truck when I bought it and you will be way happier with the revos.

Same story here... finally got rid of the crapy RT/S's and dollared up for the REVO's. Look great, ride great, and have a more aggressive tread than the normal Dueler.

They are also the highest rated AT tire on the market right now (going from polls on tire rack, 1010tires, epinions.com, etc...)

From what ive read they seem to be a good all around tire. ill probably end up getting thease from the responses yall have given me. Now i just need to figure out what size i want. they have three sizes that im interested in. 265 70 r15, 30x9.5 r15, and 31x10.5 r15.
the bfgs i have according to tire rack are numbered 30x9.5 but come out to 29.5x9.4.
1. the 265/70 r15 in the bridgestone comes to 29.6x10.6.
2. then the 30x9.5 comes to 29.6x9.9.
3. finally the 31x10.5 comes to 30.5x10.9

Id like to have the 31 but i tend to take turns a little fast and dont know if the extra sidewall movement would make a difference. thease tires should be a little softer in the ride since the bfg's had stiffer sidewalls thats why im thinking. the 265/70's should be a happy medium and give me about the same contact patch as the 31's. but then again ive wanted to try 31's for a while. let me know some opinions. I'm with him ^ get the 31's.

I went from factory 30" RT/S tires to my 32" Dueler REVO's and the ride got much better. Those Wrangler were wimpy passenger car tires and still rode like crap. I didn't notice that much difference in cornering after the height increase (and thats with a BL too). Like everyone else said, go with 31's and then round it off with a TT and some shackles and see if the shop putting on the tires will give you a discounted alignment while your at it ;)

these are 31"'s and they kick ass. Not noisy at all on the freeway, unshakeable in wet rainy weather, and do well offroad - rarely need 4x4.

AWSOME tires, too bad I have to sell mine now that I put a lift on my truck.

shoot! if you had 31's i'd be all over them!!! :D My truck had stock size (passenger) tires when I bought it; Cooper Discoverer A/T's that were just outstanding in snow, and quiet on the highway, but wore pretty quick (passenger tire) and didn't stick all that well thru corners. I recently got a 5-inch nail planted in one, and need new tires before winter anyways, plus i want larger tires, so i'm getting the 31" revos soon. i'm curious though, as to what to get for a spare... I need another 31" tire, obviously, but should i go for Sam's Club's cheapest mud tire or what?

I'll let everyone know how well the revo's do thru the winter, though, and the subsequent mud season! last winter was a doozie, but mud season was short and sucked. i'm looking forward to flogging these tires. :D

I like my (non revo) duelers.... but my right rear has really shown its wear in about 7k miles. I dont stomp on it, and I am in control trac 4x4 most of the time, so I was kind of disappointed by that, but I will probably rotate soon after I do a BL / tt

What about those convo's we had about you doing burn outs in 2Low after the brown wire mod? So much for not stomping it... i guess we see which tire was doing the burnig ;)

You can't really compare the Dueller to the KO, two totally different treads. In my opinion the Dueller is just a car tire for your truck.

^^^ Maybe the old Duelers.. or the 'new' ones that they are putting on full size Chevy's that are about as AT as a Wrangler RT/S...

But the REVO's ARE with out a doubt a truck/SUV tire (considering when I park everyday next to the Taco on 32" AT KO's my tires are more aggressive)

Ya, I am talking about the regular Dueller, but if the Revos are what is on that ranger then they look just like the reg Duellers.

you can too compare them. they're both A/T tires, aren't they? they're both after the same market. BFG makes bigger sizes, though...

i know what you said...but is there any point in comparing tires with the same tread pattern? i'm not asking about revo's vs BFG KM's...the tread pattern difference is why i'm interested in how they compare! Or i suppose I could put Revo's and BFG KO's on opposite corners and let them fight it out...:rolleyes:

Ok, maybe there is a slight difference, but this looks a bit more aggressive though.

The side lugs are more aggressive.. yes.. but the center tread design is alot more packed together on the KO... but no one ever said the KO's were good in mud...

...or snow. they're a great tire, but i can't wait to get the revo's into snow. i can't afford to risk having an "ok in snow" tire.

Like I said in the other post it boils down to size for me. Revo's largest size is 31".

Or 33x11.50R16... but most people want 15" rims...

I just refuse to ever get stuck :D I've been close, but I've never had to resort to anything other than my own truck to get unstuck. I'm also not compromising ride quality and treadwear associated with more expensive mud tires that will still slip on snow and ice much more than an A/T will.

no, i'm just good. :cool: Check with Nick26...He's got 2 inches of lift minus his running boards, plus 32" BFG mud's (another 1.5 inches up), and i still crossed the same bouldery, slippery stream he did...and that was the easy part. the tough part was going back onto the trail between a sharp 12"-high iceberg of a rock on the right, and a tree on the left; this being the ONLY way thru. He bombed his way thru and caught a couple dents on his way thru. AND I SALUTE HIM FOR IT!! :thumbsup: But I'm not one for dents in my daily-driver work-truck. I like it to look smooth and muddy with no dents. :D
