View Full Version : Don't rip off fellow enthusiasts on the net!
section525 09-05-2003, 05:45 PM The internet has made the country a very small place and you'll never know if some dudes will be on your front porch takin photographs at midnight.
Sucka Selling On Corral (http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=357132&perpage=35&pagenumber=2)
Here is the short version.. some dude from another state bought some heads off some dude here in Cali. Well the Cali dude took the money and never sent the heads. What an a-hole, right?
I get an IM from one of my mustang buddies who lives down the street. He got an email from the buyer and asked if he would be willing to go check out the sellers house, get license plate numbers, etc.
Well it sounded a little dangerous so I had to think about it for 1/2 a second.
I met up with my boys and we were off to his location. Now we didn't want to interfere with this guys case by having assult charges involved.. so he just left a photo of the seller, a little note, took some pics, and split.
I guess he knows now that he is no longer 2000 miles away from trouble.... he's 2 minutes.
It was fun. [insert mission impossible theme song here]
SO, IF YOU SELL... SHIP! :D
Soundguy01tx 09-05-2003, 05:54 PM awesome... be careful tho...

GaSouthern1 09-05-2003, 06:09 PM OH man does that sound fun, why can we have people around here like that.
Nice work Rockford!!!:)
I second the idea of being careful!
It does make a difference when people realize that, these people they are dealing with on the net, can be closer than they think. The internet doesn't provide the safety net that some of these scammers think it does!
Way off topic...............does this bush look like one HUGE bud?:smoke:
GaSouthern1 09-05-2003, 06:27 PM jeeze...that bush looks like a huge freakin.....bush;) :p
oh yea, be careful and all that crap too, dont want the guy to see yall, then you would have to shoot him.

X~FACTOR 09-05-2003, 07:34 PM Drive by and throw tomatoes at his car. ;) :p
What does the note say?
section525 09-05-2003, 08:48 PM It just said:
"James T,
Be a stand-up guy and send the man his parts or money back."
Somthing along those lines. No foul language, no rudeness, nuthin.
Redrig 09-05-2003, 09:05 PM so he just left a photo of the seller how did he get a photo of the seller? or maybe just give me a drunken forum explorer posse certificate. but non the less get the a- hole
section525 09-05-2003, 09:13 PM Somehow.. someone on corral found a geocities or aol page that this kid made... with his prom picture :D on it.
Mbrooks420 09-05-2003, 10:30 PM Haha, that is awesome. :D I bet he will be plenty freaked out in the morning.
AlaskanJack 09-06-2003, 01:03 AM Ah this is great here we contact the "Robs" total weight is like 695 between the two of them. Big ole Samoans. My buddy used them to get someone to relinquish some parts he paid for but never rec'd. They all took a trip up to Fairbanks and the dude almost crapped himself when they all showed up at his doorstep 1 1/2 months after he was paid for the parts. He was digging around in his garage and tossing parts to them plus some extras for their trouble.
Crankcase 09-06-2003, 01:47 AM This reminds me of this thread:

Hi Chuck,
Thanks again for that picture and info. Chico PD
contacted me today and it turns out he did this in
November as well. They are going to assign an officer
to the case and he will contact me later. I do want
this a-hole brought down...
Have you been by that scum's shack lately? Have you
seen anything new? What did you tell him in that note
you put inhis mailbox? Man, I wish I could have seen
the look in his eyes...
Thanks again for all your help!
