Do you have a link to the rim? Which rim is it?

Those will fit fine but you might have some rubbing problems since it's a 10 inch wide rim.

20x10, damn, that's huge! I thought my 17x10 where monsters. I'm thinking those would rub quite a bit on the inner fenderwells on the front. I know mine would if I didn't have 8" of lift.

notajp.
hey I was thinking that too, at the price they are a rim it's trhe only way I would see myself every getting 20's.

I'm trying to m,ake this truck look gtood for as cheap as possible as the truck I'm selling I'm loosing alot of money on.

any imput on other 17 inch rims with around a 4.00 backspaceing or less. I'm haveing serious problems finding good sets. as I have a set of 265-70-17 mud terrains in my shed that would look great on an x.

Back Spacing will be the key for you. I think mine are about 4.5" BS. 4" would be good but I'd watch the lower outside corner of the fender. That's where they would rub without enough BS. You chould check out a local tire shop and have any 10" wide wheel mounted with different BS options to see what would fit. Remember the tire will stick out farther then the rim, depending on the size of the tire. I would think you would need at least a 285 tire to fit that wheel, maybe more.

I think 20x10s would look sweet. Not a bad price at all. I was thinking there were some used sets floating around here for sale.

edit: thanks for the offer but those tires would look really funny on mine as the 35" look small now. :)

actually they will fit fine- but they will rub up front unless you put some 255 or smaller size tires on them. in the rear you could run up to a 305. however- i don't think that backspacing will look great in the rear with a real wide tire (it won't be tucked under the truck as much as mine are- so it might look funny sticking out to the side too much)

this is a 10.5" wide rim with a 285 wide tire and 24mm backspacing.

with this backspacing i have 0 room to the inside of the tires and i actually had to pound down the inside fenderwell on the drivers side--- but they don't stick out to the sides despite being way wider than stock.

I actually like the look of tires that stick out a tad. I don't know maybe it's just me.

good price I just don't care for spoke's or straight up twankeys. I like those mb motorings they have a clean almost billet look.

Expo, That looks sweet. How close would they be on front?

Conig, I agree with you. That's a nice looking wheel.

well, with the 10mm backspacing anything more than a 255 is going to be sticking out the side front and rear and therefore rubbing up front for sure. on a non-lowered front end though i'm certain those 255s will be barely aight.

up front i have a 18 by 9 with a 22 mm backspacing and a 255/55 series tire (stock heigh and 255 wide) i am lowered about 2.7" here's a pic of that

Hey Expo, is the height of your front tire the same as the rear? If they were the same height this set up would work on a 4WD, correct?

how about a 275-45-20 I'm not opposed to trimming I can get these shipped to my door for 15xx.xx (don't remember the correct price)

Hartman

That's the tire that most people go with.

Here's another thread (http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=86005) with 20s for sale. I have no idea what they look like because I'm at work and cannot view cardomian.com.

that size will be slightly dicey up front with no drop and will require trimming with one (in all likelihood although every truck is slightly different)

yes, my tires are all within .09" of each other height wise and would work on a 4 by 4. also- my truck is awd. have fun convincing a retailer you know what your doing ordering them though.

Just don't volunteer the info that it's AWD.

I just want to say I appreciate all the help but I don't think 20's are in the cards, just a tad more money then I'm willing to spend, but never the less this has been an informative topic.
