Does anyone use or have any comments on the WIX oil filters for the Explorers?

The previous owner of my cobra used Wix filters and Mobil 1 and he said that when they rebuilt the engine (blower fried a couple pistons) that you could still see the cross hatch on the cylinder walls.

From reading on the Corral, the most popular filter is the Ford Motorcraft filter. It ranks pretty high in the filter tests and is MUCH cheaper and more readily available than the "Better" filters.

I just slap a Motorcraft filter on all 4 of my Ford's when I change the oil.
